Round-robin match count calculator
How many matches does my all-pairs model need, and how much match time do they add up to?
Count matches and summed playing minutes from your participant count, meetings per pair and chosen match length.
Your all-pairs model
Count distinct players or distinct teams as participants. Every pair has the same number of meetings, and all matches have your chosen length. One participant or zero meetings gives zero matches; possible pairs depend only on N.
How the estimate works
There are N × (N − 1) ÷ 2 unordered pairs. Multiply by K for total matches. Each participant plays (N − 1) × K matches. Multiply each match count by your minutes per match for its playing-time sum. A match belongs to two participants but is counted once in the total.
P = N × (N − 1) ÷ 2
g = (N − 1) × K
M = P × K
T = M × d
t = g × dA declared all-pairs counting model, not a fixture generator or a sport rule. It does not arrange rounds, byes, courts or venues. Groups, playoffs, withdrawals, unequal meeting counts, different match lengths, breaks, changeovers and rest rules are excluded. Parallel play can change elapsed time; no finish time is predicted. No participant count or match length is recommended.

Chosen example: 6 participants, 1 meeting per pair and 20 minutes per match. There are 15 possible pairs and 15 matches; each participant plays 5 matches. Match time sums to 300 minutes overall and 100 minutes per participant. These are example inputs, not sport regulations or a recommended match length.
