Image print size calculator
How large will my image print at my chosen PPI?
Calculate physical width, height and area from image pixel dimensions without adding or removing pixels.
Image pixels and your chosen density
Use the image file’s pixel dimensions. Choose your own positive PPI; the same density applies horizontally and vertically.
How the estimate works
Divide each pixel dimension by the chosen pixels per inch to obtain inches. Multiply inches by 2.54 for centimetres. Area uses both original pixel counts and PPI squared. Multiplying the pixel counts gives the total.
W = w ÷ PPI · in
H = h ÷ PPI · in
cm = in × 2.54
A = w × h ÷ PPI² × 2.54² · cm²
pixels = w × hGeometry only, with equal PPI on both axes and unchanged pixel counts. No cropping, resampling, borders, bleed or printer margins are added. This does not recommend a PPI, assess sharpness or calculate printer dots per inch, file size or screen size. Print scaling can change the actual size; output size and quality are not guaranteed.

Check the filled example
Chosen example: 3000 × 2400 pixels at 300 PPI gives 10 × 8 in = 25.4 × 20.32 cm, area 516.128 cm² and 7200000 pixels. These are example inputs, not a recommended print density.
